Do I need pipes to go to a hot tub?

No, All you need to fill a hot tub is a standard garden hose. Simply put the hose in to the filter system and let the spa fill up to the correct water level. Every 3 months you should change the water in the hot tub. To do this is easy as all of our hot tubs come with an attachment that allows you to connect a garden hose to the hot tub and simply let the water run down your nearest drain.

What maintenance is involved?

All of our hot tubs are designed to be very low maintenance for the customer.

Spa water:

With every spa we sell comes a comprehensive chemical kit which includes everything you will need. Every day or so you have to test the water, to do this is very easy you simply take a test strip and dip it in to the water, pads on the strip will change change colour and you just match it up with the colours on the bottle which will tell you what you need to add. The strips work a little like litmus paper.

Every week we recommend removing your filter and giving it a good hose out then place it back in to the spa

Every 3 months you should empty the spa and refill with fresh water.

Spa cabinet:

As all of our hot tubs come with a maintenance free cabinet which requires no rubbing down or staining, just a simple wipe down with a sponge is all that is required.

Why should I NOT buy a hot tub with a wooden base?

The base of a hot tub is a very important part of how the hot tub is constructed and many American spa manufacturer's use a wooden or plywood base on their spas, which considerably limits the lifespan of a hot tub.

A hot tub base is subjected to constantly being in a shallow bed of water whether it be from rain or from spa users and through time the floor of that spa will rot away causing moisture to penetrate up into the cabinet of the spa causing damage to the equipment. Inside the cabinet of a hot tub is generally warm which will also attract vermin to get in there.

All of our hot tubs come with a 1 piece ABS tough plastic base as standard which allows the spa to sit in damp conditions all year round no problem at all as well as completely eliminating the risk of vermin from gaining entry within the cabinet of the spa.

What do I need to provide for the installation of a hot tub?

For a hot tub to be installed you will need a clear run of at least 1 metre wide from the road to the position you would like the hot tub to be sited.

The hot tub will require a flat and level base to sit on (slabs or decking are fine) and a suitable electric supply with RCD protection.

The electric supply depends on what hot tub you are interested in.

Fusion and Edge models require a 32 amp supply

G2 spa require's a 13amp supply (standard socket)

Artesian Spas vary from 20 amp to 32 amp depending on the model.

If you are concerned about access please feel free to email us some photos and we will advise you as best we can.
